چکیده

In the present work a general frame for the scattering theory of local, relativistic dipole quantum fields is presented and some models of interacting dipole fields are considered, i.e. local, relativistic quantum fields with indefinite metric which asymptotically do not converge to free fields, but to free dipole fields. Also, we give explicit formulae for the (nontrivial) scattering matrix of dipole inand outfields for these models. Furthermore we show how related dipole degrees of freedom occur in the perturbation theory of certain two dimensional models, e.g. massive sine-Gordon or sinh-Gordon models.

Calculation of the Induced Charge Distribution on the Surface of a Metallic Nanoparticle Due to an Oscillating Dipole Using Discrete Dipole Approximation method

In this paper, the interaction between an oscillating dipole moment and a Silver nanoparticle has been studied. Our calculations are based on Mie scattering theory and discrete dipole approximation(DDA) method. At first, the resonance frequency due to excitingthe localized surface plasmons has been obtained using Mie scattering theory and then by exciting a dipole moment in theclose proximity of...

Local-field approach to the interaction of an ultracold dense Bose gas with a light field

The propagation of the electromagnetic field of a laser through a dense Bose gas is examined and nonlinear operator equations for the motion of the center of mass of the atoms are derived. The goal is to present a self-consistent set of coupled Maxwell-Bloch equations for atomic and electromagnetic fields generalized to include the atomic center-of-mass motion. Two effects are considered: The u...

On the role of the magnetic dipolar interaction in cold and ultracold collisions: numerical and analytical results

We present a detailed analysis of the role of the magnetic dipole-dipole interaction in cold and ultracold collisions. We focus on collisions between magnetically trapped NH molecules, but the theory is general for any two paramagnetic species for which the electronic spin and its space-fixed projection are (approximately) good quantum numbers. It is shown that dipolar spin relaxation is direct...

Quantum theory of the plasmon enhanced Raman scattering effect in hybrid nanotube systems

The quantum theory of resonance Raman scattering is developed for a dipole emitter, the two-level system (TLS), coupled to an interband plasmon resonance of a carbon nanotube (CN) [1]. The model used belongs to a broad class of driven four-level quantum systems [2], with an important distinction that instead of being driven by an external periodic field, scattering by the interacting TLS-CN sys...

Quantum chemical studies on adsorption of imidazole derivatives as corrosion inhibitors for mild steel in 3.5 NaCl solution

Adsorption of benzimidazole, 2-methylbenzimidazole and 2-aminobenzimidazole on mild steel in 3.5 NaCl solution was studied using density function theory DFT calculations. In this regard, charge transfer resistance Rct and double layer capacitance Cdl obtained by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy EIS were used to calculate surface coverage and to build prediction models. When prediction mod...
